    Heavy Menustral Cycle
I have had a very rough menustral cycle this week. Actually had one two weeks ago and then one again. I pass heavy clots and cramped very bad. I am 45 is this normal?

It is not unusual for cycles to become irregular in timing and amount once you are in your 40's and there are a number of possible reasons. Women in their 40's tend to experience more issues with cysts, endometriosis, polyps, etc. not to mention possible changes due to perimenopause.

It could be a one off, but if your next cycle is still off from your norm, would be wise to see your doctor. They will do a pelvic exam, an ultrasound, and likely some blood work to check if a reason can be determined.
