LOL, Depends on who you ask!
I am what many on this site call a freak with only "junk science" to back up my claims. Yet, my vet actually got on here and answered a few questions herself, and backs up what I say in her practice.
There are more skeptics here than beleivers to the BARF diet. Just do the research, talk to your vet, friends, and trainers in the area. Then you be the judge of it! I think you will find it is a great way to go!
Be ready to get an onslaught of disgust for your question.

I think it is deceptive for you not to warn people your vet is practicing out of the mainstream holistic medicine. My vet was just telling me the other day about a sad dog somebody brought in that was feeding it raw meat.

"I think it is deceptive for you not to warn people your vet is practicing out of the mainstream holistic medicine." MY VET IS NOT practicing out of the mainstream! She is a practicing Western medicine veterinarian who has been certified in TCVM and Acupuncture and is integrating her practice using these methods which include recommending the best food for our clients. She has learned about the benefit of a good diet. How many wild dogs cook their food first?
"My vet was just telling me the other day about a sad dog somebody brought in that was feeding it raw meat." I never once implied to feed only raw meat. BARF is NOT about only raw meat!
I can't tell you how many dogs we see daily on commercial pet foods that are doing horrible and would not have the ear problems, skin and coat problems, weight or thyroid issues if their grocery store food was changed to a better food.
Just because I don't have your opinion doesn't mean I am wrong. Do you still recommend yearly vaccinations? What about waiting to spay or neuter until 6 months? Times have changed.
