    Vintage Craftsman Chainsaw
I have just received a very old craftsman chainsaw. This saw has a 36" bar, is operated by two individuals, and the motor is 2-stroke using 30w motor oil mixed with gas according to a plate attached to the saw. The model is 351.24600. Can you help me find vendors that sell parts and info on this saw? Thanks... brad

Since it's a Craftman have you looked at Welcome to the Parts Store ? They may be your only hope unless you need and engine part. What engine is in it?

Yes, I've looked on the "welcome to the parts store" site. No help. We've looked enough to see that it may be a David-Bradley engine and possibly made in the 50's to 60's. That's how far we've gotten so far.

I did find out it was manufactured br Reed-Prentice. In the late 40's Early 50's I think.
I will send any info I can find If you will do the same Thanks Don

Chainsaw stalls when turned [ 3 Answers ]

Ok, so I have an old Homelite XL-12. It cuts fine for my needs, except it has began stalling and running erratically.
