    Oil Leak
I have a 72 gmc pickup truck with a small block 350eng,and the oil leak is coming from around my harmonic balancer between the balancer and front seal around the balancer. Now I have put on a new seal and a new balancer and timing cover is new,and still is leaking oil from there, but a friend told me that on chevy engs there is another seal that is behind the timing cover to stop oil from coming from around the balancer is that true or not.So if anyone can help me solve this problem do.

    THANK YOU

When you say you replaced the balancer, did you put in a new one, or one from a junk yard? Very common for the seal to wear a groove into the balancer. The way to fix that is to install a repair sleeve. If there is a groove on the balancer shaft, you'll never get this to seal.
