    Value of Thomasville Bedroom Suite
My neighbor wants to buy my Thomasville dresser, armoir and 2 night stands that are 40 years old. I want a fair price but I don't want to take advantage of a friend.
The matched set in today's market (from Thomasville store) is about $5000-7000 for comparable pieces. The hardwood in fruitwood finish is covered in a basketweave veneer; cabriole carved legs.
How do I evaluate this fairly? Or Is there a formula to depreciate?
    Thank you, Peggleshelper

    Hi, peggleshelper!

Well, you're going to want to get a fair price for what you have, aren't you? I would suggest setting your price high and being willing to negotiate the price down.

Are your pieces in perfect shape concerning the construction and finishes?

    Thanks!
