Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003 ISSUES
I have a HP Pavilion Media Center a1268c Desktop PC. An issue came up with my headphones plug-in. In order to see if any programs or updates was the cuase of it not working, I went to All Programs > PC Help & Tools > HP PC System Recovery. After it ran, I did all the updates I needed to have. After, I noticed when I tried to pull up Microsoft Word, Exel, PowerPoint, Access, FrontPage, Outlook etc. and after every program it wouldn't lauch and an error would pop up "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." Is there anything I can do to get these programs back?

When I can actaully launch the program by clicking on a Exel doc. It then prompts me with a "Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003" Setup asking for Username etc. and Product Key. I've never unistalled any of the programs nor have I had a CD for them. There is still icons for each progam under "all Programs". They came with the computer, and haven't been able to use them since the System Recovery. It says I have Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003 in my "Add and Remove Programs" But when I try to repair it says I'm missing a SKU112.CAB file and I don't have CD or didn't dowloand it from anywhere, so I can't reinstall it at all.

Can it be fixed or am I screwed and have to buy the progams eventually?

Really need to get a hold of 2003 office install disk that will have that file on it.

If you can borrow a disk from someone, go to the Add/remove programs again and choose the repair option and when it asks for that file, browse to your CD drive and you should be able to get past that error.

If you did a System Recovery you probably wiped out your Office Install. You need to reinstall it.
