My MOT ran out on 4th July and I didn't notice until I checked it last night (6th august). I've now booked it for an MOT on the morning of Monday 10th August. The car is no way a death trap and is in very good condition, it's a 03 mk4 golf. My question is, if I get stopped by the police what will they do? Will I get a fine, points, locked up etc. I already have 6 points for speeding (two separate 3point offences) and there is currently a parking fine being reviewed by transport for london, Croydon. I live in kent, south of england.

I believe that driving without an MOT is a 3 pointer, but worse it invalidates your insurance, so you'll be clobbered for that as well.
You MAY drive it to and from the MOT test station ONLY!!
