    Status on my amended tax return
    I need to know the status of my amended tax return. I amended my taxes back on May 9 2009 and I have not heard anything back.

    Normally amended return takes 10 to 12 weeks. You can not find the status on line. If you amended to get home buyer credit, then 16 weeks in normal.
    You can call IRS to find the status.
