    Hi Cagneg:

    I need to know why you want to remove the flange. Is the pipe broken.. the flange? If it is a cast iron flange that is cracked along the side where the toilet bolts slide into the flange then you may be able to repair the flange with a SPANNER FLANGE... see 1st two images. Here, the spanner flange spans the break in the cast and allows you to install a bolt... it slips under the edge of the old flange and is held securely once the bolts are tightened to the toilet bowl.

    If you have a PVC flange then you may be able to repair the flange by cutting out the old metal ring and installing a BIVALVE TYPE repair flange (see 3rd and 4th images). These are usually only found at a plumbing supply store.
