Hi. Both these movies are at least 10 years old, if not 12-15 years old. I'm 99% sure they were movies and were not episodic.

One was about a ninja child and his fat friend. From what I remember the ninja's name sounded like 'two kia powa'. It starts with a village burning down, the ninja then receives his training certificate from a master. Other parts of the movie as it progresses involves fighting various villains (duh), specifically remember scenes where the fat guy is made to lose weight in a compressed sauna by the ninja kid, a long scene where the ninja kid has to save a little girl from a burning down building and inside the building is a nude villainess who transforms into a phoenix bird, and then is somehow turned to stone by the ninja. Before the scene I vaguely remember this villainess being put up to the job by some other evil guy, when he tells her to be careful around this boy she says in a condescending voice "This little boy? Ill make short work of him (insert hiring villains name here), do not worry" I remember a prior scene with the little girl picking flowers, 'ill take this one. This one. Oh and this one!' as she picks the flowers. If I remember the correctly the ninja is in the scene with the burning house but the girl is saved by a really big fat guy (not the ninja's friend) who hugs the girl to protect her from the falling debris and takes all the damage himself. I think the ninja kid wore red robes. They ate rice cakes in the movie and the fat guy used to eat too many. Later on the kids rival appears, an older, more serious ninja boy who wears blue. My copy was incomplete, it cut off at a point where this older ninja is traveling in the forest and sees a similarly robed female ninja with glasses meld (disappear) into a tree.

This is about as much as I remember of this cartoon.

The other one is also a long cartoon movie which I do not believe is episodic. It involves a guy with his robot who fights other robots. It is not kiddish, more adultish. Some of the villainous robots I remember vaguely are a flying robot that is shown to the hero by a group on a reel tape that makes snapshot sounds and pauses, shown bombing a town. It was a silent reel tape. Another one is some kind of underwater monster/robot that released sharp shuriken type mine bombs. I remember vaguely a scene later on which involves the underwater lair of this robot, a woman, a rose in a rose jar, the rose falling, indication of murder I believe. Another one was on a beach.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ok I found the first one. Its called "Ninja the Wonder Boy" on YouTube. Its really good I highly recommend it. The character is named 'Duke Hayakawa', not 'two kia powa', lol

More details on the second one: The main hero/robot had a specific move that was his most powerful, sunlight type energy would explode from his chest as he would say 'Chest... Fiire!'.
