    Junk food to lose weight
    Hey there,I think I am extremely overweight.I nhate exercise and can't resist eating.I don't know what to do.everyone seems to say cut junk food.but what exactly comes under junk food... are cookies and chips one of them too

    High carbs, lots of sugar, lots of salt.

    Its easy to keep track of hon. Keep your carbs and calories low, try no to eat a lot of sugar, and limit your salt.

    Yes. Cookies and chips are junk food. The only way to lose and/or maintain your weight is through diet and exercise. Do you really hate all exercise? I hate going to the gym to work out. But I enjoy going for a bike ride. And I love water aerobics. Even just taking a walk everyday is better than nothing. And having a work out buddy helps.
    As for resisting eating, that's all entirely up to you. My problem is if there's food there, I'll eat it. It doesn't matter if I'm hungry or not. I'll eat it just because it's there. My solution, I just don't buy a lot of things anymore. At least not as often. And when I do buy things like cookies and chips, I find that I eat less of them at a time if I take a portion and put the container away rather than taking the whole container with me. If you absolutely cannot go without chips and cookies, at least look for the "healthiest" ones. Baked chips instead of fried chips. Making your own oatmeal cookies with extra dried fruits and maybe some nuts is a much better than store bought cookies loaded with high fructose corn syrup and things I can't pronounce.

    By the way, how tall are you and what's your weight? I notice your picture is of a thin woman.

    Good catch JC, how much do you weigh?

    I don't like exercize either. Its hard to do when you are over weight. Not fun a all. And I have asthma on top of it lol.

    So I do simple things instead. I park far away from the grocery store, I take stairs instead of elevator/escelator. When you check the mail, instead of simply going to the box, make it a habit to walk around the block before getting the mail

    Pretty much anything that is not home made is junk food. The longer the list of ingredients and the more words you don't understand=Junk food.
    Most drinks are even bad for you.
