    Fitting in the world
Ever since my mother died I'm having a hard time fitting in or feeling like I belong. I cry almost every night. I need help in dealing with this new way of life for me without my mom around we were best friends

Sorry no one has responded to you before this - you must be feeling very lonely and alone.

Grief is a terrible thing and "we" grieve in a different fashion. Some people find that getting out, being with people, is the solution; others simply hide away in their house and that is how they handle it.

As far as crying every night - not unusual. You have experienced a terrible, total loss and it will take time for you to recover.

Is there anyone you can talk to so that you feel less alone?

In time it becomes easier to bear although the grief never goes away.

    Are you able to function?
