    Lost animated movie title
    I am trying to recall a movie title from my youth

    It was about a young man who set out on a quest with the help of some animals. I remember a cariage, talking trees and a maze when "night was day" at the same time as the answer to a riddle.

    There was also a princess and an evil villain (who I'm pretty sure was female) who wanted to steal the powers the princess would inherit on her 18th birthday from an enchanted necklace.

    She does this by forcing her to drink a magic potion. It all turns out fine in the end.

    My family think that I am crazy and am mixing up my disney movies, but I can remember it so distinctly that I don't think this is the case and would greatly appreciate anyone who can help me prove them wrong

    There's no way it was that recent, I used to watch it in my childhood which had to be in the 90s, its proving to be quite the mystery

    The female villain giving potion to the princess reminds me of The Magic Flute.
