I need to know more about these gatorbite fitting! Can they be used to plumb a hot water heater and can they be used in plumbing applications that need to be in the floor as in concrete,(as in using these fitting and installing concrete over top)? Can these fitting also be used in plumbing a bathroom as in sink's,toilet's etc.

    Hi Tommy:

Gatorbite fittings are fine for water heater application AFTER let's say about 18" away from the water heater. Here, you would install the correct nipples into the water heater and then transition to copper pipe or a flexible water heater connector. After the copper pipe exceeds 18" or the flexi. Exceeds its length you can transition to the gatorbite fittings. Any closer to the water heater OR ANY HEATING SOURCE and the rubber seals associated with these push-fit fittings can fail.

Gatorbite fittings cannot be used underground in any way. You cannot have copper fittings underground. They can be used to pipe up any other water piping in the house.

Let us know your application here... maybe we can make some suggestions.
