Part of remote is not functioning
Hampton Bay fan with remote, new batteries. Other functions on remote work except fan direction. The display reads forward and will not change when pressing button. The fan actually is in reverse mode. There is no forward/ reverse switch on the fan itself. Is there a fix for this remote? Thanks.

Spin the blades in the forward direction and cycle the fan off and on until it starts running in that direction. Let me know if it works after that.
