John Deere Hydro 175 Oil Pressure Gauge
Hello folks! This 1990 JD Hydro 175 didn't come with the oil pressure warning light option and I just wondered if I could install an aftermarket mechanical gauge sensor in one of the two (now plugged) ports near the oil filter. Which port to use?? Is it likely to work??
Would really like to monitor the pressure constantly instead of just waiting for the "dead" light to flash someday.

    Hi,
Yes, you can. In fact the oil sensor light wire is probably present as an unused beige wire near the oil filter. It will be of little use, but I have been asked on numerous occasions by customers what it was for.
At any rate I attached a pic and arrow marks the spot.
    Peace,
    Clarke
