Do u have to live with someone when u transfer
My boyfriend is having a hard time transferring from WI to ILL. He has been following all the rules. No violations. But small time living seems to be giving his PO an advantage with her small case load. She seems to be making it personal and difficult. He has a great job and place to live lined up. But the last time he put in a request 2 years ago he was denied because the person he was going to be living with said he had a wife that probably wouldn't want to live there so he probably wasn't either. Can they deny you if you don't have someone to live with? Can you live on your own?

As far as I know, you have to live with someone.

You have to have a place to live that is arranged, and approved.
So how could he live on his own, already have a place rented to use as a address.

    Hello j:

If you're an adult, they can't require you to live with someone.

I agree but since I asked this question she has denied the transfer and threatened to put him on the bracelet. She believes he's been down there with no proof and no truth to it.he has been violation free for 8 months. ( caught drinking at home). His offense his none violent. He has a place to stay but would prefer to live in a hotel so he can get his paperwork done for work in peace. He owns his own business. >>>question I guess is Does this PO sound like she's breaking rules or can she really just f@#* with him like this?
