Hi! Everyone :)
News from the Bucket (nftb), July 17th, 2009 ~ Vol. I ~ Edition XII:
After posting nftb last week, hasn't rained here 'til 'bout six hours ago.
Saw another post 'bout waterin' toms, and if I remember correctly, it referred to regularly grown toms.
Didn't follow the advice cause of BB being in a bucket.
After a day an a half, you can see how thirsty he is, not much mind you, maybe a quart.
For next year I'm going to haveta add perlite or those little round things like pearls
To absorb the water, then release it gradually.
Rainfall for the week at BBX 0.00” ~ KCXY 0.24”
Chance of Showers, T-storms today into tonight, POP 80~50%
New rainfall amounts between a tenth and, quarter inch except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
BB's still lookin' healthy, 5 more inches to 64 and girth to 42.
He's gained ten more toms, makes 30.
The DW tells me that her friends at work were saying their toms
Aren't ripening either, so I'll chalk it up to the weather.
Had 4hours of showers come through today for a total of 0.25, KCXY reported 0.24, and
We have another line expected 'round 10pm.
Been working on irrigation systems for BB and my other plants,
Can't wait to see my water bill, even on trickle.
I guess that's how it goes with the weather, feast or famine.
I have been working on repairing our sidewalk along the garden planter.
A Maple root pushed up a section of sidewalk... Not sure where to post it...
There are a few questions here in G&P 'bout roots...
Maybe Home improvement
I'll leave a pix.
