    Child Support
My husband's ex-wife is refusing to pay child support. She is almost $45,000 behind on child support and it seems like the system is not doing anything about it. Either she would find a job and then got fired for stealing or she would quit. She is living with her parents and sometimes stays with her boy friend, who has history of physical abuse and is ordered to stay away from the kids. We call the Child Support Service and they would tell us that they are working on it. Well, she has not paid any child support for over a year and she is still walking the street. My husband and I have been married for almost two years and it is so difficult for us financially. My husband is very sick at this point and I am the only one who taking care of everything including his kids. We are living from paycheck to paycheck and our saving is draining fast. Is there anything we can do?

You can continue to hound Child Support Enforcement, but ultimately if she isn't legally making money, there is very little they can do aside from having her tossed in jail.

Depends on where you live you can also contract a third party collection agency to try to recover some of the money - but again, there is only so much that can legally be done.
