    Limiting Visitation
My son's father institutes his visitation whenever it suits him. He has now gone 17 months without seeing his 12 year old son. Now he wants to "repair the relationship". The 12 year old is not interested and very distressed about having to visit. He has requested that his dad come visit him but his Dad declines. Is there anything we can do to limit the damage to my son ?

First, please pay more attention to posting guidelines. There is a Read First sticky at the top of the divorce forum (where this was originally posted) that directs questions of a legal nature to this forum.

The first question which needs to be answered is whether there is a court ordered visitation schedule in place.
