    Dryer belt is OK, drum will not spin.
    GE Dryer GEW9200LW. Panel works, door is closed fully, drum will turn manually. When ''Start'' button is pushed, the machine clicks, but drum will not turn. Have checked: belt is intact; has not slipped off idler.

    Remove belt from motor & turn on. Motor may have gone bad.

Just replaced heating element on frigidaire dryer fde647rfs0. Put dryer back together and drum will not turn. Motor is turning, and drum turns by hand. But when machine is put back together the belt is not turning the drum. Belt is correct according to schematics. Any suggestions.

When I switch the washing machine on, it starts to work normally but the drum will not turn yet you can hear the turning and the spinning sounds. I check to clean the drainer and all other links to the drainer and the drum will not spin.
