    Sexual Harassment.
Ok I'm 18. I need advice, recently I worked at a grocery store & my boyfriend N I were having problems N decided to see other people until we could work out our differences.. Well anyway this guy from work asked me out on a date & after a couple times I agreed. I told him that I planned on getting back with my boyfriend N wasn't trying to be serious with anybody. He assured me that he understood, However when the day came that my boyfriend and I got back together and I told the guy from work he acted very strange even though we had not been talking for weeks. Then he would just say little comments here and there about me and my boy friend like; you're stupid for getting back with him, you should be with me, I can do so much better for you than him, you're going regret choosing him over me, I really liked you but you ed up, He would look me up and down and make me feel really uncomfortable, when I found out that I'm pregnant he'd tell me don't you wish the baby was mine I hope you're boyfriend can take care of you and the baby and so on. I stopped talking to him because I found out that he was married, he's 19, and married this girl because she got pregnant but I couldn't see myself doing that to this girl she really loves him. But this guy didn't like it when I told him that I didn't want to talk to him anymore, he was talking about getting an apt with me and stuff like that.. So then he became a supervisor and would write me up for just about anything like forgetting to take out my lip piercing or once I was 2 min late from my break.. I knew that it was harassment but I didn't know what to do because his cousin was the HR rep but one of the other supervisors said I had to talk to her anyway, So I talked to her on 3 different occasions and it seemed to only make matters worse.. She was the one who ended up firing me, none of the supervisors liked that I complained about him, he'd been working there for a yr before I came. I had asked to leave early and one of the supervisors agreed but wrote me up saying that she didn't give me permission to leave, So I was fired. I filed a case with EEOC and a lawyer sent a letter regarding the case with EEOC but I was wondering if I have a case I mean a real Case?

This is not OK! Even if he was joking (which he ISNT) this is still not OK in the work place. ANYTHING that makes you feel uncomfratable in the work place is grounds for a sexual harassment suit.

If your boss does ntohing get a lawyer!!

I went through this working before at a certain sandwich place I can't say the name of for copyright reasons (at least I think I cant) I was cornered in the freezer and he made passes at me and 'felt me up'

I told my boss, and my boss tried to get corperate involved. And they did NOTHING.

Let me tell you, I got a lawyer. And sued the crap out of them. I settled under the table for 5000. Because I was young (17) and naiive and didn't realise that if I had gone to court I may have gotten more.

Do not stand for this hon.

First this site does not allow chat speak. Please type in full words and sentences.

You may be able to find a lawyer to take this on a contingency basis.

As to whether you have a case, frankly I don't think so, but its close. The reason I don't think so, is that you don't seem to have a lot of proof. You have other supervisors that have written you up, some with justification. So you would have to prove a conspiracy among all the supervisors and the HR person.

I would wait until you get the results from the EEOC and then see if a suit is warranted.

I was only written up by one other supervisor and that was before he became a supervisor and after 30 days it expires other than that I was written up by him and then written up for leaving early "W/O Permission" but in all actuality I did have permission. Well a lawyer that heard about the case from EEOC sent a letter to my house, and as for evidence some co-workers would ask or comment on what he would was saying and doing.. He would say and do these things in front of other people. And many of them would ask the other supervisors about the situation but soon after I was fired so were they to me it seems connected. These people didn't get written up and were good workers. What do you think? And also some of them have agreed to talk to someone on my behalf So personally I think I do have a case, because witnesses are one good essential for a case like this. Right or Wrong?

We can only give advice based on what you have posted. The additional infom you have now given, makes your case somewhat stronger.

Definitely talk to this lawyer, but talk to at least one other before committing (I'm not sure I trust a lawyer who solicited your business directly).
