You need your incoming and outgoing server info for what email service?

-What email are you using that you are trying to setup?

    Dear seahawk83

I just bought a new computer with Vista windows and couldn't get Outlook Express, so I am trying to register with Windows Mail 6.0 for Vista. At one point in the account they ask for a server type IMAP and SMTP or POP No. I have tried all the avenues that I can think. I have Bigpond as my server, I would be much obliged if you could help me.

    Regards
    Rod Abel

If using Norton or McAfee antivirus
Windows Mail is not compatible with most
McAfee or Norton security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled.
    Incoming mail server: mail.bigpond.com
    Outgoing mail server: mail.bigpond.com

If that does not help, I would suggest to call Bigpond for some support - There might be an issue with Bigpond and Windows Mail working together

-Bigpond support would be better if above does not help out

If you are going to install or use Microsoft Office that has Outlook installed, you can follow these settings

    Set up Microsoft Outlook 2007
BigPond Help Centre - Answer Library

The above link would be the same info you would need for windows mail also
