What happens if you disinherit a child in Louisiana
What happens if you disinherit a child in Louisiana, or if only 2 of 4 children are mentioned in the will?

The safest way to do this is to use language in the Will which acknowledges that 2 of the 4 are mentioned in the Will and 2 are not.

NY is moving away from the "For reasons known to them I have made no provisions in this Will for my son, X, and my daughter, X" because, believe it or not, the son and daughter challenged the Will and won based on their testimony that no, they didn't know the reasons.

The language now is "I make no provisions for my son, X, and my daughter, X."

    And that's it.

If you only want two of them in the will then do as judy said to leave the two out and then include the other two for whatever you want them in it for. It really isn't as big of a deal as some people think, yes, you can decide what happens with your estate (after any bills are paid) and it does not automatically get split up between all of your children if you have a will. You can even do as some people and not leave one red cent to their children and donate it or give it to some non relative.
