I just bought a house a year ago. In the middle of the night my sinks, and toilet will bubble, (Air Coming out of drains maybe). I will wake up in the middle of the night and I hear the drains. No water has been run all night. Sometimes sediment will come up but not often. I don't detect a smell of anything just the sound is irritating,

I forgot to add. I'm on city water, and drain system.

The bubbles indicate back pressure that's caused by a partial blockage in your line.
Something else is draining into your drainage system at night. AC condensate, rain water run off, a water softener that's cycling, something. Any help here?
The solution would be to snake out the drain lines. But I'm curious, Do you have any toilets running? Any thing that regenerates automatic? Got to be something. Back to you, Tom

Nothing is running. Toilets are not leaking, Sinks are not dripping. Can it be back pressure from the Main line, maybe next door or a few houses down? I will have my pipes snaked just to be on the safe side.

I want to say Thank you for your help. I will be sure to refer you.

Air, like water and electricity will take the path of least resistance. If the back pressure were coming from the street It would take more resistance to blow bubbles in your toilet then it would to dissipate up the closest vent. And if were coming from the street your neighbors would be complaining also. I think it's something in your house that we just haven't run across yet. Is there a certain time of the night that this happens? Regards, tom

98 accord making clunking noise when making hard left turn [ 3 Answers ]

My 98 accord ia making a clunk, clunk, clunk sound when making hard left turns. It only does this with left turns a slow speed like making a u-turn. Toilet won't stop making water noise [ 3 Answers ]

My toilet has a tendency after it is flushed to keep cycling water--not in the basin--but up top in the thing there. So it never quits making that noise. Once in a while if I flush it "right" it works. I'm sure its easily fixable but can someone tell me what's wrong.

Toilet making banging noise [ 5 Answers ]

When I flush my toilet the supply line makes a banging noise. I thought hammer happens when you turn the flow off. I tried to drain the pipes to empty the air chambers but no luck. The house is about 15 years old with copper plumbing. Thanks for any help.

Water pipes vibrating and making a noise when the toilet system refills [ 2 Answers ]

When the toilet refills you can hear the pipes vibrate and make a noise. I've turned our stop cock to off and then turned it back on slightly and this rectifies the problem but the water then just trickles out. I think it's an air block but I don't know how to check the toilet. All the tapes are...
