    Jaw Injury
I was at a I-Hop restaurant in my town when I bit down into my food it had a piece of food where the chef had cook if until it burned. It was about the size of a quarter and when I bit down my jaw pop. The pain got so bad I ended up in the ER with it. I cound'nt open my mouth , but only about a inch. The pain was so bad I develop a miagrain from it. They gave me a strong pain shot and then
A ct scan. They said It pop out of place and that when I had closed my mouth it pop back in but, my jaw was having some spasms from it and caused it to lock down. They said it would take a few days for it to heal. I am able to open my mouth some, but I still have problems eating harder foods. If I open my mouth to wide my jaw feels like it wants to pop again.
The restaurant has been really nice and amitted that the cook should not have put burnt food on the plate. They said they will pay for my medical bills, but I want to know how I file a complaint for pain on my part. I've had to eat soft foods now going on over a week since this happened, and my dentist says I have TMJ from this and that it takes awhile for it to heal.
Can I file a personal complaint without hiring a lawyer or will I need one on this.

If you are going to try to prove pain and suffering without an Attorney you will very probably lose. Small Claims Court is your only option.

Did you make any statements to the restaurant? Quite frankly, I investigate a lot of "foreign substance in food" complaints and I am very surprised that the restaurant admitted it was the restaurant's fault.

I'd consult with an Attorney and then decide how to proceed, what makes sense in your case.
