I think I was abused as a child by a relation. People have told me I was and I can remember one night in particular when something unusal happened but I can't remember what happened ? Is this normal ?

It was over 20 years ago now but that night sill haunts me as I cannot remember what happened if anything ! What do you think I should do ? I have also had problems with relationships over the years which I don't know is tied in with this.

Blocked memory can be for good reason. Don't go digging just for the sake of finding out. The mind does know what its doing suppressing painful memories. I have experienced spontaneous memory recall and can tell you I could not have handled that well any earlier. I knew I was missing a chunk of time but it rose from the swamp of my subconcious years later and revealed itself to me.

If you need help with either remembering or handling what you remember, seek out a professional -- no shame in that, I've done that quite a few times now. They can be especially helpful with relationship problems. I am happily married today and attribute that to professional help I received.
