How important is this procedure? I don't know why she's angry, but if it's a serious procedure, then suck it up and get it done.

If I were you, I would be more concerned with my teeth than my mom.

I don't understand what she's mad about? Could there be another reason , maybe some more info would be helpful?

I'm not positive, but I think what she is saying is that she HAD the tooth filled, but did not get the novicane. And she thinks this is why her mom is angry... she isn't entirely clear on the situation though.

    Not enough info.

Did the procedure not get done because you refused to get the numbing? If so, then I understand why she's mad. She made the appointment, likely still has to pay a fee for you going in, and she took time out of her schedule to take you.

If you did get the procedure done then I don't know why she's upset.

More info. Something isn't adding up here.

Ask her what the big deal is? I never use any type of numbing agent for dentistry

I guess she felt it was a wasted trip if you didn't even get your tooth filled. Being mad isn't going to fix anything though. She should be telling you that it may hurt some but in the long run it is best so you can have good teeth.

If your tooth was filled then she really shouldn't have any thing to be mad about.

Lol Alten, no, just have a fear of dentists, I won't get my wisdom teeth taken out because when they put me out I worry that they will touch me while I am passed out.

How can you have a tooth filled without numbing?
    Why would you want to?
Was there an argument in the Dentist's office?
Did you tell her about your plans prior to the trip?
It's your mouth, but as a parent, I wouldn't appreciate my child's choice to not want his mouth numb. Seems foolish.

Justy, I never have my mouth numbed. I've had root canals and numerous fillings without it, reason being I don't like the feeling of being numb.

Have you considered Nitrous oxide Rome?

That's what we use on our kids. You're wide awake, not numb, but still don't feel a thing.

Also, the little mask they give you smells like oranges. :)

Do you go to the same dentist my uncle goes to? He won't use the novocain either because one time he couldn't hear for over two weeks from the way the dentist gave him the shot.

Shoot, someone starts cuttin' on my gums, you better put me OUT.

    I'm allergic to pain. Sorry.

I'll just have someone come in with me to make sure the dentist doesn't feel me up! Unless he's hot, of course...
