    Vaccinated
    My new 11 week old olde english bulldog has been pooping blood today she is fully vaccinated up to date and dewormed as well I don't know why she would be pooping blood as it just started today, please help!!

    Well I didn't deworm her the breeder did, she has had her distemper, hepatitis(cav-2), parainfluenza, parvovirus vaccines, the label on her vet record reads: Adenovirus type 2- parainfluenza-parvovirus vaccine, company name is duramune max 5. and had her fecal exam as well with no abnormal findings. Plan to take her to vet but wanted to see if there was anything else I could do in the meantime.

    I've never heard of a resuce? New to the puppy world... any advice would be appreciated!

    I was very active in animal rescue work for a long time. Now I sort of drop in and out.

    Rescue groups (and some specialize in certain breeds) take in puppies and dogs which are homeless. Some of the dogs are abused; others are neglected; some of them are homeless because the owners can no longer care for them because of finances; others belonged to people who died.

    Some of the dogs need a lot of patience. Others are simply sweethearts from the beginning. I currently have two rescues, both German Shepherds, one with AKC papers.

    There are some really good dogs out there that need homes.

    Next time you're thinking about getting a dog, come back and we'll find a rescue group to work with you.

    At 11 weeks he isn't fully vaccinated. Puppies usually get a series of three sets of vaccines.

    Get him to the vet. He may have parvo, which is serious and deadly.

    Yes, you do need to take your puppy to the vet as well as contact your breeder about your problems. Your puppy may have something as dangerous as parvo or it could be a simpler case of hookworms. Either way if your puppy has a problem then its litter mates are also at danger and the breeder should be aware of this so all of the puppies can be treated.

    Are there any other symptoms? V omitting? Lethargy?
