Hotpoint WMA36 what's that awlful noise?
Hi never used this site before, however hope someone can help please... My washing machine is between 3-5 years old ~ new when purchased. Hotpoint WMA36 1300 spin model ref on rear is 03181784 (?) not sure if that is the serial number?
It works OK until the spin program... then you need to get your headphones out because it's so loud... noisy isn't the word, you have to remove yourself from the kitchen if the phone rings to hear! Doesn't appear to effect the washing or program just our ears!
My husband say's it the bearings? So are they worth repairing? Or is the baffles? If so are where are they... any asssitance would be gratefully received... thanks a bunch
Kindest regards

Your description sounds like either something got stuck between the drum and the drum wall (meaning possibility of repair) or - even more likely - that the drum bearing has gone (meaning machine replacement).
Check where the sound is coming from. Open up the rear panel and also listen there to locate the noise (make sure not to touch anything electric or rotating).
Something stuck can be removed from the waterpump access hole.
A mainbearing can be repaired, but the cost will most probably exceed the price of a new machine, while you still sit with a couple of years old machine.
Just had the same problem last year myself, so we enjoy the brand new one we have now : faster, easier, and cheaper than the repair of the main bearing.
===
Advice : offer the deceased remains of your washing machine (if it is the bearing) to "nhanvu" for spareparts. ;)
Success !

How do I change the bearings on a Hotpoint 1000 plus 9534 washing machine? I know it's an old model but I'm sure it still has some life in it yet! Does the drum have to come out and if so, how is that done?
Any advice will be most appreciated!

AC Buzzing noise
[ 1 Answers ]
My 2-yr old 12,000 BTU Friedrich wall AC unit started making a very loud buzzing noise recently. The noise does not occur in the "fan-only" mode, but starts about 1 minute after the AC is turned on. The noise is louder inside the house than outside the house, and seems more "electrical" in nature...
Indicator lights on Hotpoint Range

Hi,
We picked up a used Hotpoint range the other day. After plugging it in we tested the oven and the burners. Everything seems to be working fine except for the indicator lights. When the oven dial is set to OFF, the oven indicator light turns on. When the dial is set to anything else (BAKE,...

undefinedundefined I replaced the igniter on my gas dryer as it was crumbling anyway. That was my first thought as to why my dryer may not be heating up. Guess what, that wasn't the problem. The dryer just quit heating all of the sudden and as I said I thought the igniter may be the problem. As we...
