    Refund process after W-7 rejection
    Hi,

    I filed my return to IRS with my refund documents and W-7 form of my spouse. After 2 months I got a notice from IRS regarding inappropriate address issue with W-7. I repplied the notice within 20 days of notice generation date to IRS with the required documents. After waited for 4 weeks I called up IRS to know the status of my refund and form W-7 of my spouse. The executive told me that the form w-7 got rejected. Could anyone tell me since, my dependent' W-7 has been rejected then

    a. Will IRS process my refund?
    b. How much days it takes to get the refund amount after the date of W-7 rejection?
    Let's W-7 rejected on 1st of July'2009 then till what date I can get my refund (Obviously without the exemption for my spouse)? Please advise.

    a) The IRS will probably process your return WITHOUT your wife;s ITIN.

    b) Unknown. The ITIN processing center recently told me ITIN processing is taking about 8 weeks, so you can probably expect an answer sometime in August.
