As all thoughtful members like me  should do,
I searched "creating a poll" no results... well, 3, but nothing relevant
Then "Polls" 235 results, still nothing relevant to creation.
So AMHD has them, but I couldn't find how to create.

I've been remiss about posting, way too busy:eek:
I have not read all the posts, but I will in the next couple days, because it seems like we are going back into the 100's, not a whole lot to do outside at that point, except in the morning (which is best):)
UDT has spurted (?) I now have 12 toms and they seem to be growing rapidly.
I have eaten 3 toms (all Mama Mia) but in 1 or 2 days time, I will have some biggies!:D DH going out of town, so I will have them all to myself.
I noticed no 'Rose thread' yet:confused: and I just had a big problem with my 'Nancy Reagan (sp?) had to cut her WAY back.:(
Hope everybody is eating tomatoes!! :D

Now what page was jmjoseph's recipe on???

Sorry to hear 'bout Nancy. We have a miniature “been so long we don't remember the name rose”.
What we like 'bout it is when it blooms, the roses are multi-colored.
Your welcome to hang your hat here. We can make every other week Rose week.
Hmm... I wonder if we ask Mr. curlyben real nice.
He would adjust the title of the thread??
If you think of anything, throw it out there and we'll see if it sticks.

JD... if I knew about roses I'd post something but sadly.. My nice rose bush has turned wild.. don't know what I did wrong to it.. I wish I knew how to prune it proper and what is the best fertalizer etc... :(
I know I'm eating tomatoes but they are from my neighbour..
K still no 'shrooms I see.. might just have to wait until they decide to re-appear. I love the nasa links.. :D I guessed they grew them on the space station.. now I wonder because of the atmosphere differentials (spelling? Please correct my spelling if its wrong) I noticed my word documents don't have a spell check :O...

"turned wild"? As in it's all thorny and not flowering the color/shape/size you bought it for? Or just overgrown because youhaven't pruned it? What kind of rose is it supposed to be?

Its been here so so long that I don't remember what rose bush it was.. the flowers used to be big , decent sized now they never get bigger then maybe twice the size of a loonie (Our Dollar Coin) The flowers used to be Cup sized (as in the bottom of a coffee mug or bigger) and they used to be deep red now they are lighter then they used to be.. they are also over grown because when I am always worried about pruining roses
Tick.. I don't think it was ever just a tomato thread LOL

Now that we have expended voluminous (gratuitous use of a word) quantities of energy for our Charges,
It has become a slow time, waiting for fruition.
Besides, we have to have something to talk about over winter
That's why I'm encouraging any topic pertaining to G&P, including the adjustment to the title,
Such as, UDT ~ G & P?. I smell a contest!!! wish I could have more smiley's
By the way, now is the time to start planning nexxxt years garden...

K, I think you should start a thread on roses or new gardens for next year before they take your 'Sticky' away.

I did not think that probable. Possible, but not probable.
A PM has been sent to our Forum Mod for clarification.

I have received a response from our Moderator curlyben on a clarification of the discussion from page 23 Last half of post 225 to page 24 post 232.
I will not divulge the contents of that PM.
Suffice it to say, it pertained to adjusting the direction of UDT.
This is my interpretation of that conversation.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Traditions being strong here at AMHD. The consensus is, to maintain the Upside down Tomatoes thread as it was intended to be.
I take this moment, to Thank curlyben for allowing us the leeway in taking UDT to the heights that it has gained now, and in the future.
There are, several options:
- A Thread on Roses would have to be started
- We can use this thread to pick a meaningful topic
- A new thread on tomatoes for next years Gardening has been suggested
- A poll can be created, if requested, but only by an Admin with a rating of Super or above.
The floor is now open for discussion.

My opinion would be...
Only talk about tomatoes here (I had a feeling there would be a problem, the way it was heading)
Start new thread on Roses (I think that would be interesting and informative):) at least to me
Start new thread on getting garden set up for next years produce I need some ideas, there was one started a while ago by Startover (I think), but it dwindled out, so I didn't get much info. (something to talk about over the winter):D I'm thinking about a raised garden.
OOOPS! ::looks around:: (forgot about rule #1) My tomatoes are doing great:rolleyes:

Sounds good to me.. I think maybe a two way split thread on garden building/planting ideas and Roses... that way it could really cover both and both are quite (correction... )both would be very helpful and informative to everyone. Plus at the same time being convienant.. though I could understand if it was single separate threads
*maybe we could do flowers in generall... just an idea*
*edit, adding this* I posted my rose question in the gardening forum where this is... in a new thread... Thinking maybe we should start a 'shroom thread sometime maybe too

At some point cb would have probably intervened, that point was reached sooner because of our desire to expand, and
By my courtesy in asking before I went “Boldly where others had gone before” and they had gotten slammed for it.

That is the general premise; “The questions and answers that follow the “Thread Starter” have to relate to it”.

Anyone is more than welcome to garnish any Topic or link reference to start another thread.
After 'bout the first month I started thinking “this is turning into a blog”, and I'd better watch that we stay on topic.
I was trying at first, then after it became a “sticky”,
I only tried to maintain a “as long as it pertains to Gardening and Plants” position.
I'll be the first to admit some of it was a stretch
I don't know 'bout you, but I'll also say, I've had fun, and
I apologize if I've stepped on anyone's toes.
I'm still open for business, but I need to redirect from here on anyway.
So I'll be slowin' down.
The last NFTB till October will be on July 31st
Second week of August to the end of September, the DW and I are going on holiday to a place known only to us, batteries not included, and if we need to use the cell,
Its 3.36 miles back. In the truck.

I love Mexico, and the food is just so fantastic ! They put fresh salsa on the table every meal, JD. You don't need a lot of tomatoes. I add fruit as well and lime juice and... and... all kinds of stuff, no just kidding.
I absolutely abhor canned salsa now that I have eaten so often in Mexico. They don't cook it !
Talk later and give you secrets, okay...

Remember my neighbor that verified the contest answers? He'll water, and for payment, he gets to keep any that ripen. Remember the 4th? I hope we get at least one before we head out.
