Your 'hair down there' is called your pubic area azg. It is quite an acceptable way of mentioning 'down there'. You can trim with scissors and then use a depilatory on your bikini line. No more itchy bumps !

I am really sensitive, and can't do anything except wax, which I can't afford.

Until recently, I have had this issue. But I have finally found a technique that eliminates the bumps.

I take a VERY warm shower, this somehow helps.
Then I use Bikini Zone shave gel to shave.
Make sure you use a sharp razor. Even if you have only used it a couple times it can become dull enough to irritate.
Then, when I'm done my shower, I apply Bikini Zone gel for after shaving.
I then apply some baby powder. I haven't had any bumps, and have had minimal itching.

Oh and I have found the shorter the hair, the less irritation

I use nair's bikini cream. It takes a little bit longer than shaving but I've found the results to last longer than shaving. And my skin doesn't become as irritated either. It might be worth trying.
