pain in heels of both feet
I've had heel pain for several months now. Went to the Doctor and they took x-rays, shows heel spurs forming in both feet. He says unfortunately, he can't send me to the foot doctor because they aren't big enough to do anything about. Well, I'm here to tell the world this pain is ridiculous. I don't care how big they are, I'm in agony every day when I try to stand up after sitting down. Even at night they are painful to just roll over or stretch out in bed, or even to just touch my heels brings tears to my eyes. What can I do for this? I need help. Everyone says buy orthotics to slip into my shoes. Well, I live in Arizona and yesterday was 116*.. I wear flip flops, it's too hot to wear enclosed shoes everyday. I can't put inserts into flipflops!! Please help.. any suggestions on how to alleviate some of this foot pain?

One of the ways I heard heel spurs are caused is by calcium depositing and building up in your bones. So you need to take magnesium to keep calcium evenly absorbed.

I can't say this will get rid of the spurs but it should help in keeping them from getting worse.

Can you go for a second opinion on going to see the foot doctor?

Below is a link that has exercises for heel spurs.
I would also insist that your doctor give you a referral ,explaining to him to you are the one with the pain and it is interfering with your quality of life and causing you to lose sleep.
