    Credit Card debit state of Texas
    I'm being sued by a credit card company. My question is, I am a co-signer on a friends bank account - Can the credit card company seize money that is not mine?

    Hello J:

    In a joint account, they don't know which money belongs to YOU and which belongs to the other person, so they take it ALL.

    Any asset that you are listed as an owner of, whether co or full, is fair game. However, if you can prove that the income is from sources that are not yours, you can block the attachment.
