I don't have a solid answer for you as it would depend on where you lived, but I can tell you... probably more than its worth to have someone do. The idea behind peel and stick is that its easy to do it yourself.

Definitely MORE THAN ITS WORTH... the peel and stick tiles are fairly easy to install but in my experience don't wear well in fact I refuse to install them because after a year or so of steady use they start to look awful. If the room isn't used much or appearance isn't really important then go for it. Unless you got a really good deal on the tiles I would seriuosly consider another flooring alternative. What type of room are these going in? What type of subfloor do you have ? Let me know if I missed anything GOOD LUCK, AC

The other biggest problem is if it's a lesser grade tile the will shrink over time and gaps everywhere... Doing apt change overs for years and that's use a lot in rough rentals.

In my opinion, the only use for peel and stick is a quick facelift of a horrible area to allow for an easier sale. Its really not good in livable areas, particularly in high traffic situations.

The trick to installing peel and stick,is to use the 3m spray adhesive, you buy it in a shacky can spray a little down before laying the peel and stick. I have to disagree with the others I laid 350 sq. ft. down in a heavily traveled room its been 8 yrs and yes its faded but with an occasional wax has proved to be a quick,do-it-yourself improvement I'm very satisfied with it..

Rather than a spray adhesive I have used a primer made for peal and press tiles. It required 3 coats but was ready for tile in about 4 hours. I agree they are easy and they aren't always a great choice.

"Rather than a spray adhesive I have used a primer " I am just saying what I used instead of a spray adhesive. I followed the manufacturers instructions for the installation, Armstrong said to use a primer and I did.

Not trying to be arguementative but following manufacturer directions keeps us out of trouble with home owners. If I try something not recommended and it fails I get the call back and eat the cost. What does 3m say their adhesive is for and compare that to what I gave as a link.
