    Mathematics=- Average Speed
    A man travelled a distance of 70km and at a speed of 35km/h for his journey.
    On his second journey he travelled a distance of 50km and at a speed of 20km/h.
    What was his total average speed for the entire journey?

    where D is the distance, V is the velocity (or rate), T = time

    1. Calculate the time required for each trip.
    2. Add the distances for the two trips.
    3. Add the times for the two trips.
    4. Use the formula using the total D and the total T to calculate the average V (the average speed or velocity or rate or whatever you want to call it).
