    Sanskrit translation on my tattoo
    Hello,

Can anyone confirm if the attached picture actually means 'Phoenix'

I used an online translator type thing but I'm paranoid it's wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Sid. :)

I'll ask my Indian coworker when I get to work at 1. She has already chuckled when I told her about people getting Sanskrit tattoos. She wondered why get a tattoo in a language no one can read. Maybe it's a conversation opener?

My coworker says that "Phoenix" is not a word in Sanskrit. Your tattoo basically says "honikish," and she does not know what that means. She suggests you Google an accurate Sanskrit interpreter program which she says has to be downloaded.

Oh OK, well that's exactly what I did but I wanted to double check it did say phoenix and not something strange.

Anyone else know anything? Thanks. :)
