    Connecting Honeywell RTH2306
Hello, I am trying to upgrade my thermostate from a Payne to a honeywell but having trouble determining how to properly connect the wires.

    The payne has

    W - white wire
    O - no wire
    G- green wire
    R - Red wire
    C- Blue wire
    Y- Yellow wire

I need to match the wires to the following honeywell config

    Rh
    Rc
    W
    Y
    G

I'm looking for how to properly connect.

    Thanks!

Connect the red to both the RH and RC, then Y, W, and G as before. The blue is the other side of the transformer, the common. Some programmable thermostats don't need it. No B or C terminal, leave it unconnected. Read the instructions for the Honeywell and follow them carefully. If you do a search here, you will find many people have trouble with it. Maybe Northern Heat will do a better job solving them than I ever did.
