    I have a B-2 and a F-1 visa and want to change from B-2 to F-1
    Dear all,

I hope someone can help me with this question. I have a B-2 and a F-1 visa. The reason I have a B-2 visa is because I want to travel 45 days prior to the F-1 visa to the USA. After 45 days I will start my 1 semester study at a college. The problem is that I do not know if I can change my B-2 visa to a F-1 in the USA or whether I have to leave the US and re-enter with the F-1 visa.

    Regards.

If you already have both B-2 & F-1, you must leave and re-enter as F-1.

Oke I understand but can I just cross the border of Canada and then return to the US?
