    Squealing Maytag dryer
My Maytag dryer, model # LDE7334ACE has a squealing noise when turned on and sometimes continues during the whole cycle. What parts need to be replaced.

Its probably the belt that turns the drum.

There can be a number of possibilities.

A high-pitched squeal is usually metal-on-metal. You didn't describe the noise so I can't tell if this is a symptom or not. That can be caused by a bad drum-support roller whose bearing has failed. Some dryers have a drum bearing at the back center of the drum. When those fail, they can make an awful squeal. A slipping belt can also cause a squeal. An idler belt-tensioning wheel can also be squealing, rather than the belt.

In order to fix the problem, you need to determine the cause. Maytags open by removing two screws at the bottom of the front. The front usually pulls forward and out. I don't remember how the top attaches, but it's not held on by screws and should be pretty obvious how to remove it. I believe the Maytag has a separate assembly for supporting the drum. You may have to remove the drum to inspect the drum support rollers.

Here is a link to exploded parts diagrams for your model. Possibly they can give you a bit of guidance.

I don't see a drum support bearing in the diagrams, so maybe it doesn't have one. Once you remove the drum, it will be obvious whether it does or not. In fact, this link has a "tumbler bearing kit" that looks like the drum rides on felt pads (pretty common).
