    Water pump/pressure driving me crazy.
My husband moved out 3 weeks ago and right before doing so, he installed a new water pressure tank. Since then, whether I am showering, washing dishes, watering flowers, etc. the water pressure is not only extremely low, but the water will fully cut off for about 45 seconds to a minute, then come back on. When it comes back on, it sputters, as if there is air in the line. There is not hissing noise while it is off. The pressure is around 30 when not running, but it has been around the 20's when running. Please help... I'm not sure what to do.

    Thank you!

The pressure switch has two settings. One turns pump on, the other turns pump off. Inside cover are directions on how to adjust and recommended psi settings. Make adjustments with power off.

Check pressure tank. There is an air valve on top of tank. Press valve and get air. If u get water, bladder in tank is bad and needs to be replaced.

If u get air, shut power to pump and drain pressure tank. After drained, read air pressure. Should be 2psi lower than low setting on pressure switch. If needed adjust by adding or removing air.

Turn power on. Should be good to go.

    Good luck

Low water pressure from well pump [ 1 Answers ]

Hi again, I recently replaced the pressure switch because I heard the well pump running non-stop. At this time the pump never seems to generate more than 38 PSI on the gauge. Also the pipe from the well seems to vibrate loudly. It seems as the pressure tank is light (no water in it?). The...
