It could be argued that the only way to make it in this world is to be greedy.
Like I said "if I had Bill Gates money". But again, it would take greed to get that amount of money in the first place.

I would almost have to "fall into it" for it to work. Which is HIGHLY unlikley.

It wouldn't work, because people out there who aren't greedy would have given all of that money away a long time before they had enough to even start up a small business.

I know a lot of people who have to knowlege and knowhow to do so much better, but they settle for their simple job where ever, why? Not because the don't want more, we'd all love to be rich, it's just that they refuse to screw people over to get there.

America is a great country because of this. Those people who run the big corporations make up less than 1% of the population.

Unfortunatly, it takes greed to make it big.

    Now in other news.

My independance day kind of sucked. I thought my sinus infection peaked Friday.

No, I'm hoping like hell it peaked yesterday.

I went to the town flea market, the car show, and by the time we got to the parade, I felt like I was going to get sick. I couldn't wait for it to be over so I could go home, and get some water. (real bad cotton mouth)

I went home, took some sinus medicine, and proceeded to get the worst headache I have had in a long time. My head throbbed for six hours. Finally, I took some excedrin's and it went away. At one time, my tempreture got up just a hair over 101.

It was awful. I feel a little better today, my throat is still a little sore, and I have a lot of crud I'm coughing up. But at least that damn headache is gone.
    Hi Andrew,

I have to deal with sinus infections and especially the incapacitating headaches that always come with them, may I offer a few 'local' remedies that I have learned over the years?

When in public some things to do:

Squeeze the muscle between your thumb and fore finger hard and hold it for several minutes, do this to each hand, At least temporarily relieves the pounding headache.

Sit up straight, looking forward, tilt your head (ear) towards your shoulder as far as you can and hold for a 10 count. Do this at least 5 to 10 times with each side. Relieves the tight muscles in your neck and allows drainage.

Stand under the hottest shower that you can and let the hot water pound on your forehead, cheeks, sides, top and back of your heard for at least 10 minutes. The stand with your back to the shower head, tilt your head forward and let the hot water run on your neck and shoulders.

Vicks Vapo Rub under your nose. (I know... ) but you can use this on the road and at home. Drains and somewhat relieves your headache also...

None of these a 'medicines' and I have been using them for years, may help you too.

There are antibiotics for the infection as you probably already know...

Hope this helps some, I know the pain.

As far as the other part... I can tell you that you do not have to be 'greedy', a 'bad' person, or and out and out a**hole to be successful in business. You can be successful, provide jobs and help people in the process, through donations to charities, belonging to local organizations, personally helping troubled people in your area, etc... Success in not an ugly word as many would have you believe. It would be nice if it was a 'perfect world' and we all had everything that we need, but it is not. And for some their work ethic translates into owning their own business, not a bad thing. I take pride that I can provide people with employment, benefits and some pride. And no one handed me a thing, ever...

Regarding the sinus drainage, that does work. Although I never though to excersize it like you suggested in your post. I did notice that when I would lay on one side, it would pound, then roll over, and it would stop for about 10 minutes. Then reverse again.

Yea, they say a migraine is the worst headache you can have, if it's any worse than a full blown sinus headache, I don't want to know about it!

    Regarding the greed:
Spotlight on the president of the company I work for. He is, by definition: "a good sucessful man". From what I can tell he has always strived to give his employees the best pay and benifets possible. He takes good care of his workers, knows everyone by name, and is interested in everyone's ideas. He can have his mood swings once in a while, but deep down, he is a good man.

If you are going through a rough patch, he works with you. When you do well, he rewards you. As far as non union private jobs go, I'd say he ranks in the top 10 in this area.

Unfortunately, the economy is trying the company right now, and he has had to make some tough choices, much like everyone else. Sometimes I complain, and I shouldn't. It is the best job I've ever had.
