    Tandem single pole circuit breakers
I have a 42-slot main breaker box. Does the NEC limit the number of tandem single pole circuit breakers that can be installed?

    Thank you.

They once did limit any panel to 42 poles or circuits, but stopped with the 2008 edition.

Check with your local code enforcement to learn what code edition they use.
