    Whirlpool washer won't agitate
    My whirlpool washer fills, then instead of agitating, it sounds like a chain being dragged across metal and does nothing.

    Tip the washer back and check the coupler between the motor and the transmission. It is white with 3 fingers each. One on the motor, one on the trans. With a round rubber piece in the middle.
