Two and a half weeks ago I had sex with my girlfriend and then two days after that I got a burning and sharp pain while urinating. Along with this pain I felt like I had to go to the bathroom badly but couldn't go. The pain stopped after about 30 minutes but was followed by testicular pain that progressed over the next few days. I went to my doctor two days later and was told I had epidydimitis and was given an antibiotic. I have taken the pills as described and I was feeling better until I ejaculated for the first time since the initial pain. About ten minutes after that I went to the bathroom and suffered the same pain, burning and false sense of urgency as before which was again followed by testicular pain. Sometimes the pain is felt in my lower abdomen near my hips, but mostly it radiates down my legs.

Now that Im pretty sure its not epidydimitis like the doctors thought can anyone help me??

Hi ryan, epidydimitis is a testicular infection and some symptoms similar to bladder infection. I believe you are explaining a bladder infection and although you had antibiotics for what the doctor assumed was a testicular infection, the antibiotics may not have been strong enough. Some people need a double wammy of antibiotics for a bladder infection.

This is not a diagnosis, ryan, and I am only assuming based on your description. I think you need another trip back to your doctor and a urine and blood test taken.
