    How Do I Add My Name To The Deed To My Home. My Husband's Mother Died And We Just Finished All The Necessary Steps Of Probate. There is no mortgage involved.

    Whose name is currently on the deed? If it's only your husband, then your husband has to prepare a deed from himself, as seller, to the two of you, as buyers. Then the deed has to be recorded.

    I strongly suggest that you have the deed prepared by an attorney. It isn't expensive and that way you can make sure that it's done right. If you do it yourself and make a mistake then it can be difficult and expensive to fix.
