    John deere manuals
    I have a john deere gt 262 lawn mower and am looking for a manual that shows the belt routing and how to replace. Is it free or do I have to pay for it.

    Hi,
    The manual is available for purchase from Deere, the fate of older machines. You can get the to the parts breakdown at JDParts, however.
    I will add the link; if you want to "bookmark" you must do it on that first page. It will assume you are a dealer if you don't. Need a User Name and Password.

I have a john deere 318 and I have replaced the fuel pump and clean out the gas tank and put new gas in and I am not getting gas to the carbeurator. It cranks up hwen I put some gas in the carbuerator but only stays running for a few seconds

I have a John Deere 318 with an Onan engine. When I try to move the mower it wants to die after the hydrostat safety switch is released. If I "tie" down the safety switch I can drive it, but it dies as I hit the mowing deck. Any hints on what to replace? Thanks, Rod Hite
