    Max number of conductors and connections in a metal basement ceiling octagon box
    What is the maximum number of conductors (Black, white & Ground), and connections allowed in a standard metal octagon box nailed to the floor joist (ceiling) in a basement?

    Chose your "standard box" from the chart found at:

    Untitled Document

    And you will find the maximum allowed wires of the various sizes.
