    Using floor grout on walls
I hired a handyman to re-tile my vacation home bathroom floor and around the tub. I discovered that he used sanded floor grout on both the floor and walls. Does anyone know if this presents a problem? I don't know if I should I have him redo the wall tile now or when and if problems begin.
    Thanks

How wide are your grout joints? Sanded can be fine on both floors and wall if the grout line is sufficient. Unsanded grout is usually used for smaller lines. Rule of thumb, 1/8 or smaller unsanded, larger than 1/8 sanded

    Jake,

A question for you. What grout should be used on the ceiling? Ballenger is right, I doubt the grout knows if it's on the floor or the walls.:D

Caulk or grout first for tiles on shower walls [ 9 Answers ]

Hi guys... I'm back finishing the shower. I fell off a ladder but I'm better now. I was wondering whether it was better to caulk everything in the shower first and then grout the tiles. Seems it would keep the grout out of the joints I don't want grout in. I would wait for the caulk to cure before...
